If you want to know a city then you can go to the local food market, it is a concentrated society which contains the food culture, lifestyle, and interpersonal relationships.

Your heart tells you where are you are going, your tongue tells you where you from. The flavor from home bonds whole family members gathering and food market is the source of the best materials you can choose.

Here is my impression of the local food market from my hometown. It is my placebo to cure my homesick and the vibe makes me feel: I belong here.
